Wedding Videography Production We are innovators in the field of wedding video production. Utilising traditional skills and modern technologies we will capture all the love, joy, romance and fun of your wedding day for you and future generations to enjoy. Equipment & Facilities As a professional company we use the very latest state of the art equipment providing the very best in picture definition and sound clarity. 3 chip C.C.D. (Charge Couple Device) digital cameras provide true broadcast quality results, recording 800 lines of horizontal resolution. Technical Performance We use digital technology which allows us to edit the raw video without and degradation of sound or image. Our cameras have separate interchangeable lenses constructed of glass elements, unlike domestic or semi-professional equipment which use cheap plastic elements which provide a lesser quality image due to the poor optical characteristics of plastic. Imaging Chips There are many cameras which feature three imaging chips, each chip designed to capture the red, blue or green (R.G.B.) information of the scene being recorded. when the information from each chip is compiled together a colour image is produced. By having a separate chip for each of the three colour channels (red, green, blue) greater definition and wider contrast range is attainable. A factor to consider when judging the performance of a three chip camera is the size of the chips. Typically a domestic or semi professional camera may only contain chips one third, or half inch size chips which are are of secondary quality to those used in true broadcast cameras. It is preferable that imaging chips are 2 thirds of an inch in size as this allows more information to be gathered therefore producing a picture of even greater definition. Optical Lens Performance The lens of a video camera is a major factor determining video picture definition. You may already have viewed other wedding videos recorded with domestic or semi-professional equipment which you may feel offer satisfactory picture quality, however once you have viewed the extra quality provided by true broadcast quality cameras you will then desire the perfect picture. Video cameras intended for domestic or semi professional applications primarily use plastic elements within there construction, such plastic lenses offer far inferior result than the professional interchangeable lenses such as those we use. Crystal Clear Sound We take as much care and effort to ensure the quality of our sound is as good as the pictures we produce. External broadcast quality microphones fitted with professionally balanced XLR sockets are used to record the wedding ceremony and the speeches. Audio is constantly monitored for clarity, volume and balance which maybe mixed with musical accumpaniment at appropriate points during the editing stages. DVD is an acronym for Digital Versatile Disc, it provides a means of viewing digital material such as movies, arcade styled games, and interactive publications on a TV. DVD although not a recordable format within the domestic domain is set to replace VHS in the consumer home due to its superior sound and picture quality. DVD also has many other advantages in terms of the user interface, the longevity of the product and additional features such as subtitling, alternative camera angles or alternative sound tracks such as a directors narration. The DVD format is still a relatively new media and as such is faced with a number of issues which will only be resolved by technological developments and market forces. As from 2003 we will be optionally providing the opportunity for all our customers both past, present and future to have their wedding day video mastered on to DVD. This will include interactivity through a menu driven interface which links with specific chapters or key moments throughout the production. Wide Screen Wide screen production is available as an option to all our wedding clients. The cameras we use are all switchable between the traditional television screen ratio of 4:3 and the now ever increasingly popular cinematic wide screen ratio of 16:9. We would however recommend that all productions for domestic viewing are produced in the 4:3. All 4:3 recordings can be transfered to 16:9 at a later date with no degredation of sound or image quality. |
